Well, we made it through our first year of marriage it seemed to just fly by! We learned quickly to distinguish between roommate issues and relationship issues so that really reduces the amount of arguments. If you can accept that leaving dishes in the sink or socks on the floor are not life altering actions and resolve them as such, things will be smooth sailing!
We celebrated our first anniversary yesterday with a nice dinner out and a replica top tier of wedding cake. The actual top layer didn't quite make the journey from Virginia to Oklahoma in the condition to be saved for a year so we ate it up in the following weeks. One thing we did do that we hope to continue as a yearly tradition was to take out all of our wedding cards and read through them once again. It was such fun to think about all of the guests and family that were with us on our special day to celebrate our marriage!
