Apologies for the gap in updates, I guess the last big event that we posted was Conor's birthday back in May, quite a while ago. We have had a very exciting past few weeks so this entry might be a little long...
The summer here in OKC is very hot, you get used to seeing a weather report with temperatures reaching over 100 degrees every day and having one of those sun shades for the windshield of your car is a must, unless you want to burn your hands on the steering wheel! Conor has been busy with work, flying and such. On the weekends we have enjoyed going to watch the local minor league team, the Redhawks play ball in Bricktown. They are a feeder team to the Texas Rangers and the stadium is really nice. There was actually a write up in Southern Living magazine about the hot dogs they serve. I am not usually a fan of "event food" but they do a great job with the dogs at our ballpark. I am adding some pictures from the games we went to this summer. One night the ballpark sponsored Navy Night and there were all kinds of neat activities including a fly-over by the E6-B. Conor wasn't flying that night but it was really exciting to see their plane fly over and later the pilots and crew got to go down on the field during the 7th inning stretch for a round of applause!
I promise to do a better job with updating, hopefully at least once a week!
